Man, school and other shit reaaaally took a toll on my online activity XD

yea ik I stopped posting around July - literally around my b-day month, ugh. But hey, at least I still keep on making art on the side. Wish I could've posted all of it BUT I didn't cuz I didn't feel like it and/or did not see it as post-worthy (*shrug*). As of now, I'm putting my art and creativity to use for a school assignment that's been in production for around a month; it's a pop-up book for my French class (which is in both English and French) :P

School's a priority rn cuz I need to improve on overall grades (which don't look so good to my eyes :/ ). Even my mental health could be (or would be, I'm not so sure of it myself) affected by this, so I gotta take all this pressure and distribute the work evenly. Also, college is near so that's another good thing going for me (I won't go too much in detail for privacy).

Hopefully I can get some time off from schoolwork and all sometime, so I'd get to post whatever artwork I do online. I've got a list of art ideas that I put off for later, so hopefully I come around to check off some of those.

It's been a while since I posted anything, there's been a lot going on recently and there's some things I'd like to mention. It might be a little bit that I share but it's alright :P

For a starter, I won't be able to make any animations anytime soon since I don't have access to Adobe Animate (I mean, I think I don't have access to it anymore cuz I cancelled by subscription months ago. well that sucks...)

Secondly, I made a redraw of an edited post on insta (the redraw is already up on my instagram) but I don't think I can post it here cuz it might look blurry if I crop it (and when I first did it, it was; I tried to add filters to fix the look but it didn't help a lot). I was stupid enough to draw everything on top of the scanned sketch and not once try to crop it while working on the drawing. >:[

However, I've only cropped it on a different device and not on my computer so I'll try it either later tonight or in the morning [as I'm writing this, it's nearly 1 am]. If it works out well and does not look like shit then I'll have it up at a later time! :D

Thirdly, I've looked back at my fnf jam entry and feel like it looks crappy. I didn't get a chance to look at any most recent announcement about the animation jam but hey, congrats to the winners (if they were already announced) ! :)

But the thing is, I remembered making a promise to make a comic out of my entry but never committed to it. Reason why is because I've lost motivation to do it as time passed, ending up in me abandoning the idea to complete the comic version of my only uploaded "animation". And I think this could also apply to the animation itself; it was very stressing to work on it since it was my first time using Animate. I've lost motivation to complete the animation and then abandoned it. So I don't think that I'll ever possibly go back to working on both things anytime soon or ever, but who knows? Maybe I will, but I don't guarantee it.

Last thing, I kind of need some help with handling my mini-series online - especially here.

I'll spoil it in this post: how I'm going to start this mini-series is by posting a comic, it'll be about 10 pages in total. I don't know how should I post my comic pages; do I post them one by one or do I post the first page and then the rest of the pages will be part of the artist's comments? There's this lingering feeling that I'll seem like I'm "weird" for making this and posting it on NG; it was originally meant for insta but I wanted to post it here too (cuz why not? :P ).

Soooo yeah, seems like there wasn't a lot to share here but that's what was in the back of my mind that I wanted to write about.

Hmm, today seems like a good day to post smth new. I wonder what I shall submit for today....

(I'm being serious, I wanna post smth today before it's too late--)

For the past 3 weeks I've been working on my FNF Jam entry, and so far I haven't gotten much done.

For about two weeks I've been working on my first draft of my entry. I mention first draft because one day when I was testing out my work in progress, the animation had major technical difficulties and it did not look good. It seemed like it was a lot to fix, so I had decided to start all over and work on another idea.

This time, it's currently looking pretty neat-o! And luckily enough, the second idea was originally going to be a comic (maybe I'll post the comic version after my animation's done).

However, there's a lot more stuff that I have to add in my animation (such as the audio and music) and the animation itself is taking a while to make. At this point, I'm not sure if I can get it done before the deadline.

If I don't get it done by the end of the day I might either give up and take my time on it, or submit a WIP and call it there. (There's a small chance of an update to this post later on today, so check in for any possible updates every so often.)

Recently I got access to open up Medibang Paint on my computer, which is great! I'm not fully used to the program since I'm new to it, of course, but I'm still learning some of the mechanics along the way. It feels familiar to the previous art program that I used to draw on an iPad called ibisPaint. Now I don't have to use MS Paint a lot, lol

There's also the news of a FNF animation jam taking place as of now, and I'm happy to announce that I will participate in this jam! I'm really excited about this event since it will be the first ever animation jam that I join and my first time making a big project like this.

I'm currently learning how to do animations on Adobe Animate (I'm really new to those sorts of programs hehe), but I'll put my best efforts into this project since I got so much learning and planning to do before opening up the program.

I might post less often due to the dedication that I put into this animation (and also school, which takes up most of my day), but I'll be sure to take a couple of breaks every so often and share some artworks that I do during that time.

Like I said, I'm super excited about this and I can't wait to get the final project out there! :D

Hello to everyone who sees my page! I'm barely new to this site but have previously came from Instagram by the same username (just written differently). I've linked it in case if anyone wants to see what I have so far :D

A bit about when or what I will post:

I'll start posting some content in about a week or so while I figure out how this site works. In the meantime I'll occasionally check out some art and such around here, in order to get familiar with stuff like that. I'm planning to first post some artwork that I have up on my insta (it won't be a lot tho, it'll be a selected few), then post most of my stuff that I do in here first.

That's pretty much it for my first news post, kinda feel awkward for doing a format like this but it's my first. :]
